About The Position
Under supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining assigned buildings in an orderly fashion, preparing rooms for meetings, ensuring floors are clean, and replacing burned out light bulbs. Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or its equivalent
- minimum of one year of janitorial experience
- Valid Texas Driver’s License required
Responsibilities
- Sweeps, scrubs, strips and waxes floors.
- Dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork.
- Restocks cleaning supplies.
- Empties and cleans waste receptacles, washes windows and walls.
- Assists in moving and arranging furniture and equipment.
- Replaces all burned out light bulbs and reports any hazards found.
- Vacuums carpets and intake structure for HVAC.
- Cleans sinks, commodes, lavatory, kitchen, lunchroom, etc.
- Puts deicer on sidewalks and stairs in the winter time.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
