About The Position

Woodberry Forest School, located in Madison, VA, is an exceptional private boarding school community for high school boys in grades nine through twelve. It is one of the top boarding schools in the United States and one of the only all-boys, all-boarding schools in the country. Woodberry's 1,200-acre campus is the largest for boarding schools in Virginia, and one of the largest private school campuses in the country.

Requirements

Lifting of 50 pounds or more is required.
Willingness to drive a lift, scissor lifts, flatbed, and events truck.
Ability to get certification in ISSA training.

Willingness and ability to effectively clean according to CDC standards for COVID-19.

Responsibilities

Provide total custodial care in school buildings including dorms and classrooms.
Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture, and dusting surfaces.
Sweep and mop floors and hallways and vacuum/shampoo carpets.
Run an autoscrubber.
Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (i.e. soap, etc.).
Wipe mirrors and windows.
Maintain outer premises by cleaning entrances.
Restock cleaning supplies in dedicated closets.
Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors and closing windows.
Undertake occasional custodial tasks; shovel snow from the sidewalk, set up for special events, lift heavy items, move chairs and furniture.
Effectively clean according to CDC standards for COVID-19.
Perform other work as required.
Drive a lift, scissor lifts, flatbed, and events truck.
