About The Position

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is seeking a Part-time Custodian Floater on the island of Maui. HBM has been providing quality service since 1957 and is one of the largest facility service providers in Hawaii. This role requires strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude. While prior experience is beneficial, HBM is committed to training the right candidate. Requirements

• Must pass HBM prescreen check
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Strong public relations and communication skills
• Capable of performing basic manual labor, cleaning common areas, frequently lifting, pushing, pressing, pulling, and carrying a minimum of 25 lbs. (up to 40 lbs.), reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking up and down stairways, using elevators, climbing ladders, and standing throughout shifts

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous experience in custodial, housekeeping, or related fields preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas within the building
• Sweep, mop, dust, wipe down, and sanitize areas
• Clean restrooms and storage areas
• Remove trash and replace liners, disposing of waste in designated areas
• Restock supplies
• Work in various weather conditions
• Perform other tasks as directed by the HBM supervisor
