About The Position
Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957 and is one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We currently perform janitorial building services, mechanical engineering, HVAC and maintenance services for numerous commercial, retail and residential properties on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. This is a full-time Day Porter - Custodian position located in Honolulu, HI 96813, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (40 hours weekly). The compensation is $17.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Candidates must be capable of: Standing, walking, bending, reaching (including overhead), grasping objects, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stooping, stretching, pressing, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting a minimum of 20-30 lbs.
- Must successfully pass the HBM prescreen check

- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining the location space, which involves: Sweeping, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing
- Vacuuming and operating a side-by-side scrubbing machine for the floors
- Cleaning restrooms and storage areas
- Removing trash, replacing liners, and disposing of waste in designated areas
- Restocking supplies
- Performing additional tasks as directed by the HBM supervisor
