About The Position
The mission of Southern University and A&M College, an Historically Black, 1890 land-grant institution, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is to provide a student-focused teaching and learning environment that creates global leadership opportunities for a diverse student population where teaching, research, service, scholarly and creative expectations for students and faculty are achieved through the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs offered at the institution via different instructional modalities and via public service. This Custodian 2 maintains the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the Southern University Laboratory School.
Requirements
- Six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.
Responsibilities
- Empty trash/recycling, replace liners
- Disinfect high-touch points (door handles, light switches, desks, shared tech, sink faucets)
- Wipe down desks, tables, white boards/chalkboards
- Sweep/vacuum floors, damp mop hard floors
- Spot clean walls and windows
- Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, and mirrors
- Refill soap, paper towels, and toilet paper dispensers
- Empty trash bins
