About The Position

Cromwell Public Schools is looking for a School Custodian I for Edna C. Stevens to maintain the daily cleaning of a facility as assigned. This role may involve operating a facility during the absence of the Building Maintainer, which includes ensuring the building's cleanliness, structural safety, systems equipment, product delivery, and directing visitors. The position is responsible for general cleaning and maintenance in the school building and grounds, providing custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors, and others as needed, and performing related duties and general maintenance work.

Requirements

Ability to maintain the daily cleaning of a facility as assigned
Ability to provide, if assigned, for the periodic operation of a facility during the absence of the Building Maintainer, involving but not limited to the building’s cleanliness, structural safety, systems equipment, product delivery and direction of visiting public.
Performs general cleaning and maintenance in school building and grounds
Provides cleaning and custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary
Performs related duties and general maintenance work.
