About The Position

Full performance level in the custodial occupation requiring considerable knowledge of cleaning equipment and procedures; under direction, cleans County facilities, including the operation of heavy floor care equipment.

Requirements

• Equivalent to eighth school grade plus one (1) course in the operation of heavy equipment; OR alternative, equivalent evidence of the Minimum Class Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cleans floors, including buffing, stripping, waxing.
• Cleans and dusts rooms and furniture, cleans restrooms, elevators and showers.
• Collects trash and deposits at compactor or dumpster; operates compactor or bailer.
• Sprays rooms to exterminate insects.
• Stocks supplies and maintains security of supplies.
• Checks security of buildings and rooms; opens building; locks doors.
• Performs general clean-up tasks around the grounds.
• Moves furniture, boxes or other materials.
• Performs Related Duties As Required
