About The Position
The Department of General Services is seeking a Custodial Worker 1 within the Harrisburg Regional Division to perform general cleaning of offices, restrooms, and other public areas. You will also be responsible for maintaining an assigned area in a clean and orderly condition. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restroom surfaces and fixtures; ensure supplies remain stocked
- Dust and clean furniture, equipment, windows, and other items in offices and rooms
- Sweep, mop, buff, vacuum, and perform both routine and detailed floor care
- Collect and transport trash and recycling to designated pickup areas
- Operate cleaning tools and machinery and perform basic maintenance as needed
- Remove snow and debris from building entrances, sidewalks, and surrounding areas where needed
- Report in-office during emergencies and office closings
