About The Position

A Custodial Technician plays a vital role in a skilled nursing facility by maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment that supports the health and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors. Their work helps reduce the spread of infections, minimizes safety hazards, and ensures compliance with healthcare cleanliness standards. Requirements

• Must be able to acquire sufficient knowledge and learn new skills through on-the-job training and instructions to satisfactorily meet job performance

Nice To Haves

• At least two (2) years of prior professional cleaning experience, preferred
• A team player and have passion to the serve the elderly!

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly cleans resident spaces, bathing area, lounges, offices, hallways, dining area, recreational areas, public bathrooms, and other rooms as assigned.
• Mops floors, vacuums, spot cleans carpeted areas and empties trash.
• Dusts and/or washes furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Washes windows and sills.
• Cleans and sanitizes lavatories and toiles bowls inside and out.
• Performs written cleaning procedures and follows written cleaning schedules for common areas, outside areas and resident units.
• Keeps all equipment and storage areas clean and orderly.
• Transports linens and other supplies and equipment.
• Follows all written infection control procedures established by the community.
• Performs light maintenance responsibilities, as needed.
