About The Position
The Custodial Technician is to maintain day-to-day cleanliness in the Health and Wellness Center, Early Learning Center and various spaces of the Scantic Valley Y.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred
- 1-2 years of experience with wood and tile floor maintenance (i.e. wax, shine, strip)
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products
- Exceptional customer relations focused attitude
- Strong focus on critical problem solving
- Willingness to work in a team-centric environment
Responsibilities
- Empty trash and refill liners.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, sauna and steam room.
- Clean and maintain the Wellness Floor, Gymnasium, Community room and other spaces as needed.
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, showers and Wellness Floor.
- Wash loads of member’s towels as needed.
- Clean inside windows and mirrors, as needed. As well as outside windows.
- Maintain and inventory of supplies.
- Ensure proper labeling and dilution of all chemicals.
- Always Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (gloves, etc.).
- Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.
