Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year supervisor experience.
  • Custodial knowledge.
  • Computer literacy (basic).
  • Mechanical knowledge.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have floor tech experience.

  • College degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an ambassador for company values and philosophy, implementing and maintaining necessary programs to achieve Corporate Mission and Goals.
  • Facilitates and coordinates key personnel and technical/operational processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Organizes, schedules, assigns, and performs daily work routines.
  • Supervises safety in the assigned work area and trains all employees in safety-related issues.
  • Discusses all safety issues and provides proper personal protective equipment.
  • Investigates accidents, determines causes of injuries, and reports all concerns and injuries.
  • Provides on-the-job training for new employees regarding equipment and chemical usage, and continuing training for current employees using on-the-job coaching methods.
  • Manages equipment and consumables, working with department management to ensure adequate supply of products and chemicals.
  • Communicates effectively regarding requests, work orders, and other job elements.
  • Coordinates and provides assistance for building emergencies (e.g., fire/flood clean-up, snow/ice removal) during and after working hours.
  • Plans and performs major cleaning operations, supervises assigned work projects, and coordinates major work projects with management.
  • Supervises custodians daily regarding quantity and quality of work.
  • Inspects assigned areas frequently to ensure individual and building inspections meet service level quality standards, utilizing computer-aided inspection systems and other tools.
  • Supervises other related work as required.
  • Disciplines and counsels staff in disciplinary actions.
  • Advises office when verbal and written disciplinary actions have been given.
  • Jointly meets with employee and manager when a problem warrants written warnings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
