Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or technical school certification
  • Two or more years in the custodial field focused on property management
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude which supports team performance and productivity.
  • Valid driver’s license required (no restrictions).
  • Must have team aptitude and approach.
  • Ability to pass a background/fingerprint check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience stripping/waxing VCT flooring preferred
  • Experience working with timekeeping system preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete tasks of all service requests, maintenance, and preventive equipment inspections.
  • Establish and monitor preventive maintenance procedures for assigned facility.
  • Researches and resolves problems related to facilities operational and maintenance issues.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all equipment, tools and supplies needed to perform maintenance and grounds functions.
  • Follow all safety standards as outlined in company policy and OSHA regulations.
  • Selects and assigns staff, ensuring equal opportunity in hiring and promotion.
  • Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
  • Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
  • Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained.
  • Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to work.
  • Makes rounds to check for crew coverage and designated work area.
  • Assigns needed coverage, gives special cleaning instructions and/or assignments.
  • Review staff timecards/timekeeping on bi-weekly basis.
  • Conducts inspections and investigates customer concerns.
  • Additional duties as assigned or needed.
