About The Position

Maintains facilities in a sanitary and orderly condition. This position requires the candidate to be a current student at Asbury Theological Seminary. The work schedule is 12-15 hours per week when school is in session and up to 40 hours per week during summer months. The work schedule is negotiable for summer months, but a set schedule is established when school is in session, depending on the specific position.

Requirements

MUST BE A CURRENT STUDENT AT ASBURY THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY.
Basic knowledge of custodial skills and procedures.
Ability to prioritize job assignments.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Ability to perform medium duty manual labor.
Ability to use janitorial equipment.
Ability to climb a ladder and work from that position.

Responsibilities

Cleans all surfaces in hallways, lobbies, restrooms, classrooms, elevators, stairs, and in any other assigned areas.
Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and polishes all floors with appropriate equipment.
Washes walls, woodwork, and windows as necessary.
Removes all trash from within the building.
Replenishes restroom supplies as needed.
Arranges tables and chairs, stage equipment, etc. as requested.
Strips and reapplies floor finish to tile floors.
Cleans carpets.
Prepares housing for incoming tenants.
Attends weekly safety meetings.
