About The Position

Kane Realty has an opening for a Custodial Shift Supervisor who will be accountable for the supervision of 2nd and 3rd shift custodial staff, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and service for the property. Duties include assist, coordinate, direct, inspect and evaluate work performance of all custodial service staff assigned.

Requirements

  • Work independently and effectively with little direction and use good judgment when making decisions.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to balance, bend, stand, walk, kneel, twist, stretch, climb and sit.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to tolerate environmental conditions, such as hot, cold, wetness, dust, noise, etc.
  • Ability to drive and travel independently to various sites.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One to three years custodial or service related operations experience
  • A minimum of two years' supervisor/team leader experience.
  • Pass a background check and drug test

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes and coordinates day-to-day custodial and grounds activities by preparing & prioritizing work assignments; prioritizes and coordinates duties and assignments of operations crews; ensures effective workflow and facilitates operations; adjusts work schedules as approved by the Custodial Manager.
  • Reviews and revises work methods, training and procedures to assure compliance with contracts, regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and site visits to ensure staff maintain high level of cleanliness to meet or exceed industry standards on all assigned contracts.
  • Assist the Custodial Manager to coordinate and implement all safety programs and procedures related to each building site.
  • Assist the Custodial Manager to develop, implement and maintain training plans for custodial team and ensure all training is documented and on file.
  • Assist the Custodial Manager to determine equipment, supplies and other tools needed to complete the tasks at each site.
