About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking for motivated, team-building individuals to fill a Full Time Cleaning & Facility Support Associate position. This role offers FANTASTIC First Shift hours, Monday - Friday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, with a starting pay of $17.00 an hour. The company emphasizes its mission to fund programs that help people with obstacles in finding work and its commitment to recycling, having kept over 7.7 million lbs. of materials from landfills in 2025.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Michigan drivers license required.
• Ability to pass a drug/alcohol test.
• Ability to stand six to eight hours a day.
• Ability to recognize, comprehend all instructions and warnings of the SDS labeling system.
• Pleasant, cheerful and professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

• Previous buffing and waxing experience highly desirable.
• Good mobility.
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate power equipment for custodial maintenance.
• Keep store, plant, offices clean and all trash removed as needed.
• Assist in keeping aisles free and clear of hazards.
• Assist in training employees on cleaning practices as directed by the Supervisor.
• Ensure safety protocol is followed and safety equipment is properly used.
• Drive to 17 locations across Mid Michigan in a company vehicle as required.
