CUSTODIAL - MAINTENANCE WORKER

The Children’s Home of Reading is seeking compassionate, dedicated professionals for a Custodial Maintenance Worker position. Requirements
- Responsible person with the ability to follow directions, pay attention to detail, and work independently.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate basic information in English.
- Must pass required Criminal Record History Clearance, FBI and Child Abuse History Clearance.
- Possess a valid PA driver's license and maintain a good driving record throughout employment.
- Must pass a pre-employment Physical & Drug Screening (THC included).
- Possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all required trainings.

Responsibilities
- Provides Maintenance Support: Performs basic repairs, changes lightbulbs, fixes minor plumbing issues, and conducts general handyman tasks.
- Inspections: Fleet Management – Inspect company vehicles monthly
- Vendor Coordination: Assists as the point of contact for external contractors to escort them throughout the facilities
- Office Porterage: Handles physical tasks like moving furniture, setting up meeting rooms, and accepting heavy deliveries.
- Inventory Control: Tracks stocks of cleaning products.
- Custodial & Sanitation duties
- Maintenance & Repairs
