Custodial Associate
About The Position
This role involves providing janitorial, housekeeping, and custodial functions for multiple agency buildings. The associate will perform general and specific cleaning and maintenance tasks according to a detailed cleaning plan to ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant physical environment. Responsibilities include reporting facility issues, managing cleaning supply stock, cleaning all areas of the facility, maintaining tile floors, proper handling of chemicals and supplies, light maintenance tasks, and working with Maintenance Technicians to care for tools and equipment. Job assignments may be modified as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to work third shift and weekends occasionally.
- Ability to learn and follow proper usage, handling, and storage of chemicals and supplies.
- Ability to perform light maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work in conjunction with Maintenance Technicians.
- Familiarity with approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment for janitorial purposes.

- Experience with stripping, waxing, or buffing tile floors.
Responsibilities
- Providing janitorial, housekeeping, and custodial functions for multiple agency buildings.
- Performing general and specific cleaning and maintenance tasks in accordance with a detailed cleaning plan.
- Reporting facility issues such as leaking faucets, broken blinds, or other hazards.
- Ensuring appropriate cleaning supplies are stocked throughout campus facilities.
- Cleaning all areas of the Facility (e.g., floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) following agency procedures, guidelines, and methods.
- Maintaining tile floors, including stripping, waxing, or buffing.
- Learning and following the proper usage, handling, and storage of all chemicals and supplies.
- Performing light maintenance such as replacing bulbs, restocking supply cabinets, furniture reconfiguring, and material handling.
- Working in conjunction with Maintenance Technicians to oversee care of agency tools and equipment.
- Adapting to added, deleted, or modified job assignments to ensure overall facility services are provided.
