About The Position

Be exceptional. Be well. The Custodial Associate keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition. This position performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs or material replacement, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk. This position may need to support multiple buildings as schedules and operations dictate, including Cultivation, Manufacturing and Retail. Evening/night/weekend work may be required. Please note: This position involves working with plant material, which may include exposure to pollen, allergens, and other plant-related substances. We recommend that applicants with known plant allergies or sensitivities consult with a healthcare professional before applying for this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of custodial experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Basic understanding of processing and math
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment when dealing with confidential information
  • Must be 21 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Service, clean, or supply restrooms, including showers
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Gather and empty trash
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, blinds, and/or mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
  • Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment
  • Maintain outdoor sanitation, including snow removal and salting of walking areas
  • Observe plant safety rules, help to identify and eliminate any safety hazards or concerns, as well as assist in monitoring the quality of work output and maintenance procedures
  • Assist in conducting operations to meet established cost standards for the use of materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Follow instructions for the most efficient use of tools, machines, and materials
  • Maintain a neat and orderly working area and assist other departments in the cleanliness and organization of working areas when projects overlap with other department areas
  • Bring any ideas to light for possible usage in factory functions
  • Meet attendance requirements to perform essential elements as noted above between the assigned start and end times for work
