About The Position

The Custodial Aide/Kitchen Aide will monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the Early Childhood Program and playground. This position also includes responsibility for all daily food preparation, food distribution, waste management, and cleanliness of kitchen facility, dishes etc.

Requirements

Minimum H.S. Diploma or GED for this position.
Knowledge of proper and safe food handling, sanitation and safety procedures, i.e. proper food temperatures, and preparation guidelines.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural/multi ethnic environment.

Responsibilities

Sweep, wet/dry mop all the floors in the hallways, common areas.
Clean adult and children’s bathrooms daily.
Refill all paper dispensers daily or as needed.
Clean and disinfect all sinks daily.
Remove paper, trash, and garbage from assigned areas and place in dumpster for disposal.
Collect student counts and call in food order to the food service caterer daily and in a timely manner.
Set up all food items delivered and prepare the food to be warmed and divided per all classrooms.
Deliver meals from kitchen to classrooms on a daily basis.
Ensure that all work surfaces and kitchen area is maintained in a clean fashion at all times.
Ensure that all serving ware is cleaned properly and stored.
Maintain an accurate inventory of food items and put away food order and supply orders.
Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.
Adhere to the CACFP Guidelines for food handling, and nutrition guidelines as well as sanitation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ensure the consistent accurate collection of the data.
Identify patterns and trends of administrative services.
Use results of data to inform supervisor of trends that may impact services.
