This position assists the principal in promoting high student achievement and instructional excellence among staff. The specialist will spend at least 80% of their time in schools, working directly with teachers and principals on curriculum alignment, implementation, mentoring, coaching, and demonstrating best practices. This role involves coordinating professional development, locating new resources, and assisting teachers in creating effective learning experiences for all students, including those in gifted and talented programs. The specialist will also work to increase parent understanding and involvement in their child's education and will not have an assigned classroom or routine staff assignments.
