About The Position
Designs and develops Houston ISD curriculum for Kindergarten through 5th grade Reading Language Arts, including Science of Reading-aligned instruction. Emphasizes creation of high-quality, teacher-facing instructional materials, including slide decks, Demonstrations of Learning (DOLs), literacy activities, and differentiated assignments aligned to daily learning objectives to support effective classroom implementation.
Requirements
- Experience in curriculum design for Kindergarten through 5th grade Reading Language Arts.
- Knowledge of Science of Reading-aligned instruction.
- Ability to create teacher-facing instructional materials such as slide decks, DOLs, literacy activities, and differentiated assignments.
- Skill in aligning materials to daily learning objectives.
