About The Position

The primary focus of this role is developing Houston ISD NES (New Education System) curriculum in Fine Arts such as music, dance, theater arts and/or visual arts, with a specific emphasis on writing teacher-facing curriculum including slide decks with teacher guidance for implementation, Demonstration of Learning (DOL), student activities and differentiated assignments aligned to the learning objective provided for each day. This role also serves as a liaison between campuses and District level events focused on the arts.

Requirements

• Experience in curriculum development.
• Knowledge of Fine Arts disciplines (music, dance, theater arts, visual arts).
• Ability to write teacher-facing curriculum materials.
• Skills in creating slide decks with teacher guidance.
• Experience in developing Demonstration of Learning (DOL) materials.
• Ability to create student activities and differentiated assignments.
• Understanding of learning objectives alignment.
• Liaison skills between campuses and district events.
