About The Position
New Hope Christian School is inviting expressions of interest for a 0.4 FTE Curriculum Coordinator position, commencing Term 1, 2027. New Hope Christian School is a special school providing Christian Education for students with a mild to moderate level of intellectual delay or Autism in Kindergarten to Year 12. This co-educational Christian learning community is committed to developing and nurturing its students. The school is located within the grounds of Pacific Hills Christian School and is part of the Pacific Group of ten Christian schools. The school aims to develop the full potential in each individual by providing a mixture of individualized and small group instruction and support, with a clear vision to honor Christ in all its programs and practices. Each staff member is a committed Christian and holds strongly to the belief that we are all created and loved by God.
Requirements
- Qualifications in Education
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to lead, influence, and support staff in achieving educational excellence
- A commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-informed practice
- Commitment to a local church and the ethos of Christian education is essential
- Must provide a reference from a minister of the church you regularly attend
- Must provide their NSW Working with Children Check Number for verification
- Must comply with the NSW Teacher Accreditation Act and provide their NESA Accreditation Number for verification
Responsibilities
- Lead curriculum development and implementation aligned with NESA requirements and the schools Christian worldview
- Support and develop staff in curriculum planning, documentation, assessment, and reporting practices
- Guide the implementation of Christian perspectives across curriculum areas
- Coordinate curriculum compliance and contribute to school registration and accreditation processes
- Analyse NAPLAN and HSC data to inform teaching and learning improvement
- Provide curriculum leadership and facilitate professional learning opportunities for teaching staff
