Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain the operation of the heat seal and glue seal machines for the production of paper cups.
  • Must be able to clean the machines in order to avoid cup defects.
  • Must be able to clean any spills in the production area.
  • Must be able to load side stock and bottom stock into the machine for the production of paper cups.
  • Must be able to make minor adjustments to the cup machine in order to maintain quality products.
  • Must be able to check the level of paper in the machines upon arrival to the production area.
  • Must be able to complete a usage report and fill out a pass down report.
  • Must be able to check machines to ensure they are all running properly by checking fluids and monitoring operation.
  • Must be able to complete quality checks every hour on the cups produced.
  • Must be able to communicate machine issues with QAT and packer.
  • Must be able to adjust heat or air, or make other adjustments as needed to solve possible defects.
  • Must have good visual inspection skills to solve defects.
  • Must be able to utilize a troubleshoot guide.
  • Must be able to discontinue operation and communicate the problem to a line maintainer or maintenance if the problem continues.
  • Must be able to clean the machine periodically during the work shift to avoid malfunctions.
  • Must be able to listen to communications through the PA system coming from packer or QAT and respond immediately with minimal response time.
  • Must be able to acknowledge information regarding problems with cups and shut machine down until defect can be fixed.
  • Must understand, perform, and promote safety rules and procedures throughout the plant.
  • Must perform safety guard check for each machine in the first hour of shift.
  • Must comply with all quality standards.
  • Must remain focused on safety throughout the shift and perform all work in a safe manner without taking shortcuts.
  • Must report injuries immediately to your supervisor and any potential safety hazards observed.
  • Must perform bubble tests and complete paperwork for traceability and production records.
  • Must continuously fan blanks to monitor for quality or other defects.
  • Must comply with all safety standards.
  • Must produce quality product by not accepting defective material into the work center, not making defective products at the work station, not passing defects to internal customers, and by reporting potential quality issues.
  • Must comply with all sanitation standards.
  • Must practice good sanitation and housekeeping practices to maintain the appearance and condition of the operating facility.
