The Culture Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Culture Department, advancing WMFN’s cultural priorities in close collaboration with Family Representatives, Council, and community partners. With a strong focus on people leadership and long-term planning, the role supports and mentors the Culture team and Family Representatives to deliver cultural initiatives that are sustainable and respectful. The Culture Manager leads the implementation of long-term cultural plans, works within governance structures, supports sound resource and budget allocation, and ensures accountability for departmental outcomes. Through operational oversight, collaboration across WMFN departments, and engagement with funding partners, the role plays a key part in promoting and sustaining the Nation’s culture, language, and heritage for future generations. This is a full-time in-person position requiring the successful candidate to be located at the lake, in Chetwynd or Hudson Hope areas. This position is scheduled for 35 hours per week and has a starting salary between $85,000-$100,000 per year.
