About The Position

The Culture Engagement Specialist has diverse responsibilities that revolve around understanding and enhancing MPCA’s employee experience. To ensure a unified culture across all teams, this person coordinates training sessions, manages cross-office employee communications, and plans companywide events. On a broader basis, this role acts as an advocate for our employee team, serving as their eyes and ears.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (HR, Sociology, psychology, diversity studies) OR high school diploma and 1-2 years of relevant training or experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field required.
  • Advocacy: Participates and encourages others to engage in advocacy that supports health centers and the health and well-being of the patients they serve. Helps identify policy opportunities and contributes to expertise in the organization’s policy and advocacy priorities and strategy.
  • Analytical Thinking: Uses methodical, data-driven approaches to explore opportunities, solve problems, and support decision-making.
  • Communication: Effectively exchange ideas, opinions, knowledge, feedback, and information with consideration and clarity so that the message is received and clearly understood through multiple forms of communication, both virtually and in person. Demonstrates the capacity to be aware of, manage, and express one’s emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships and conflicts sensibly and empathetically, based on the audience.
  • Facilitation and Engagement: Establishes safe and welcoming environments, structures meetings and gatherings to engage and effectively use participants’ time, listens actively, encourages participant interaction and contribution, coordinates content for relevance and usefulness, and ensures desired outcomes are evaluated and reached while using feedback to improve future interactions.

  • Strategic Alignment: Possesses an understanding of the organization’s current strategy and goals. Carries out assignments and projects in alignment with the organization's strategies and in collaboration with strategic team members where applicable.
  • Technological Efficiency and Adaptability: Uses technology effectively to carry out work responsibilities and assignments. Displays interest in exploring new/emerging technologies and the ability to learn, adapt, and incorporate new technologies into work.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with leadership to develop and implement strategies to enhance our organizational culture.
  • Conducts regular culture assessments to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations accordingly.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure that the organization’s policies and practices are aligned with the desired culture; making recommendations for necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Supports the development of initiatives, programs, and policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Conducts regular surveys and assessments to measure employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Analyzes feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Supports the development and implementation of initiatives that enhance employee engagement and morale.
  • Collaborates with HR and department managers to identify training needs.
  • Coordinates and facilitates training sessions to educate employees on company values, culture, and behavioral expectations.
  • Provides resources and support for skill development and career growth.
  • Supports efforts to foster a culture of continuous learning and skill enhancement.
  • Plans and organizes companywide events, celebrations, and activities that foster team cohesion and a sense of community.
  • Coordinates town hall meetings, focus groups, and other forums to gather employee input.
  • Ensures events align with the company's values and objectives.
  • Coordinates with HR to promote physical and mental well-being through wellness programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinates activities that support work-life balance and reduce stress.
