About The Position

The Production Technician directly reporting to the Production Supervisor, is responsible for executing and maintaining all daily operations of the Production and Packaging Department to achieve the company initiatives. Additionally, the Production Technician maintains the policies and procedures of the company and ensures compliance with all state and local laws and regulations. This role involves performing basic plant care tasks such as transplanting, watering, pruning, and defoliation under supervision. It also includes supporting harvest activities like cutting plants, tagging, weighing, and organizing batches, as well as assisting with basic trimming operations. The technician will participate in room sanitation procedures, maintain clean work areas, and follow all safety and biosecurity protocols. Accurate completion of required documentation, including plant counts, task logs, and sanitation forms, is essential. The role also requires attending training sessions and demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to feedback.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills.
  • Being able to work with a team.
  • Having organizational skills.
  • Having decision making skills.
  • No cannabis experience required; experience in agriculture, horticulture, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic plant care tasks: transplanting, watering, pruning, and defoliation under supervision.
  • Support harvest activities: cutting plants, tagging, weighing, and organizing batches.
  • Assist with basic trimming operations including machine trim loading/unloading and tray cycling.
  • Participate in room sanitation procedures and maintain clean work areas.
  • Follow all safety and biosecurity protocols including PPE usage and movement restrictions.
  • Complete required documentation accurately, including plant counts, task logs, and sanitation forms.
  • Attend required training sessions and demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to feedback.
  • Consistent development of skills.
  • Participating in quarterly department meetings.
  • Owning personal training and development regarding current on product knowledge and policies and procedures and seeking out answers as needed from the Manager
  • Following flawlessly all company Time and Attendance Policies
  • Proficient in product protection.
  • Maintain current and up to date knowledge of security procedures and protocols as applicable to position and facility.
  • Assisting in the execution of monthly product and supply inventory audits as needed
  • Maintain current and up to date knowledge Loss Prevention (LP) procedures
