As a Culinary Utility Person, you’ll support our culinary team by keeping kitchens running smoothly and ensuring every guest interaction starts with a welcoming, service-first attitude.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Six months of prior relevant food production/preparation experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
- Ability to work a varied shift to include weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Prepare food for service according to assignment by the Sous Chef or Restaurant Chef
- Transport food products from production kitchens to restaurants or other food holding areas in a timely fashion
- Move food from holding boxes to the front-line steam tables and cold bins for use by internal and external guests
- Maintain clean and sanitary work areas throughout the meal period or working shift
- Return unused food items to overnight storage or other proper recovery areas according to established procedures
- Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, immediately notifying the supervisor and completing an accident report in the event an accident occurs
- Ensure the food prep areas and related floor areas are properly clean and safe at all times from any spills or mess
