About The Position

The Culinary Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring food quality, safety, cleanliness, and efficient production. This position provides leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, assists with training and scheduling, and helps maintain high standards of food preparation and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and sanitation standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel.

Nice To Haves

  • Banquets experience preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support kitchen staff during daily operations.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to company recipes, standards, and specifications.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and developing culinary team members.
  • Maintain compliance with all health, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food products.
  • Monitor labor and food costs and help control waste.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and assist with scheduling as needed.
  • Address and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Support special events, banquets, and catering functions as assigned.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures.
