Directly supervises food-service associates in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws. Requirements

  • Must be able to operate and clean equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
  • Must be able to store, label and date food items according to policy.
  • Must be able to maintain established food rotations in storage to minimize spoilage and waste.
  • Must be able to follow HACCP guidelines.
  • Must be able to operate food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to help serve meals.
  • Must remain present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
  • Must be able to advise management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
  • Must be able to use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  • Must be able to train employees, plan, assign and direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline associates, address complaints and resolve problems.
