As a Cook at St. Mark Village, you are responsible for preparing daily meals and special event menus in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Chef/cook certification or a minimum of 3 years of quantity cooking experience in lieu of a degree or certification (required)
  • Experience in hands-on quantity cooking in full-menu environments (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of Residents or team members
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

  • Senior living or healthcare kitchen experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the culinary team in food production, menu planning, and the preparation of baked goods, sauces, soups, and other meals from scratch
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are followed, including maintaining a clean kitchen environment
  • Oversee the proper presentation of meals, supervise and mentor culinary associates, and ensure accurate, consistent, and timely food production
