The Culinary and Nutritional Service Associate I or II provides assistance in all culinary functions in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the culinary services are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. This role is responsible for performing day-to-day culinary functions to serve meals and snacks that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, providing residents with an exceptional dining experience. The associate will assist in serving meals, delivering food carts, and working in serveries, ensuring adherence to portion control procedures. Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment is crucial, including assisting with cleaning duties, executing special events, and distributing/collecting menus. The role also involves ensuring quality assurance and infection control practices are maintained, upholding resident confidentiality, and contributing insights for departmental improvements. Customer relations are important, as the associate will listen to and respond to the needs of residents and staff, making them feel welcome and comfortable. Administrative tasks include maintaining accurate records through computer use or other documentation.
