This role involves providing customer service to residents, visitors, and staff, adhering to menus and recipes, special dietary needs, correct portioning of food, food presentation, and proper serving methods as instructed by the executive chef. The cook will also attend to residents’ individual dietary needs when taking and delivering food orders and maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of our residents, working under the supervision of the executive chef and sous chef.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • High school diploma, GED, or 1-3 months related experience or training preferred
  • Must submit and pass all applicable pre-employment and annual tests and meet all training and other applicable state and federal guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, cooking, plating, culinary arts, and/or hospitality is preferred
  • Caring & compassionate attitude for others
  • Thorough understanding of sanitation and infection control practices
  • Strong customer service focus; ability to multitask
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff
