About The Position

The Culinary Attendant will ensure the highest quality and standards of meals are professionally presented and served with excellent customer service. This role is part-time and located at Parker at Somerset, a 120-bed post-acute rehabilitation and nursing home known for compassionate, quality long-term nursing care in a comfortable, home-like environment. The community also offers comprehensive post-acute rehabilitation with round-the-clock skilled and sub-acute nursing services and has received a Five-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in all categories. Recreational activities and special programs, including a Personal Enrichment Program for elders with dementia, promote socialization and increase the quality of life for each elder. Elders enjoy purposeful living and person-centered care in a supportive environment by a team of dedicated employees who provide the highest quality of care, where personal preferences of the people we serve are respected and honored.

Requirements

• High school graduate or G.E.D. required.
• Food service experience required.
• Serv Safe Certified; or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season.

Nice To Haves

• Culinary training and cooking experience preferred.
• Skill and experience with long-term care and/or Dementia residents preferred.
