About The Position

Boden Senior Living of Apple Valley, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is seeking a Culinary Assistant/Server to join their team. This community, which opened in July 2022 in Apple Valley, MN, offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care services in a 64-unit, apartment-style setting. The role involves assisting residents in aging magnificently by preparing, distributing, and supplying food and dishes, while fostering a positive environment. Boden Senior Living of Apple Valley was recognized as Readers Best Assisted Living in 2023.

Requirements

Ability to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.
Advanced computer skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting in the preparation, distribution, and supply of food and dishes to residents, families, and staff.
Creating an environment that promotes resident well-being.
Setting up room trays and tables in the dining room.
Serving and bussing trays.
Pouring and covering beverages.
Assisting in preparing and covering food.
Transporting carts to appropriate areas and delivering trays.
Delivering nourishments and snacks.
Maintaining a steady work pace to ensure an adequate supply of clean kitchen utensils and dishes.
Soaking, scrubbing, scraping, and washing soiled dishes.
