Under general supervision, plans, organizes, instructs, and provides instructional environments which help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development. This role involves teaching the District-approved curriculum, developing instructional materials, and providing individualized and group instruction to meet diverse student needs. The teacher will establish and maintain classroom control, evaluate student growth, communicate with parents, and cooperate with other staff to address student challenges. Additionally, the role includes creating an effective learning environment, maintaining professional competence through ongoing learning, and participating in school committees and activities.
