Position supports TSA Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems program to deploy, set up, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and recover CUAS equipment in support of the Federal Air Marshall Service national security operations.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of three years of relevant CUAS technical or operational experience.
  • Have relevant experience gained through military service, civilian law enforcement, CUAS field service representative duties, CUAS contract support or comparable technical positions.
  • Hold a current Federal Aviation Administration Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Capable of traveling up to 30 percent from the National Capital Region to deployment locations nationwide.
  • Capable of lifting and transporting equipment weighing up to 70 pounds with reasonable accommodations as applicable.
  • Capable of working outdoors, standing for extended periods and operating in varying weather and field conditions.
  • Capable of occasionally supporting operations outside of normal business hours when required.
  • US Citizen and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to secure a Secret Clearance, if required.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, configuring, and operating fixed-site mobile and portable CUAS systems.
  • Operating CUAS detection and authorized mitigation equipment under required Government direction or oversight.
  • Performing pre-deployment testing, system calibration, operational checks and readiness verification.
  • Installing and configuring Government approved CUAS hardware, software, firmware, networks and system integrations.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting CUAS hardware, software, firmware, networks and communications.
  • Diagnosing technical faults and coordinating equipment repairs or vendor support.
  • Supporting CUAS data portals, Team Awareness Kit (TAK) and other Government-approved integration and situational awareness tools.
  • Supporting interoperability and integration among CUAS sensors, command and control systems, data portals, networks and approved external systems.
  • Monitoring Equipment condition, performance, connectivity and operational status.
  • Supporting multiple CUAS manufacturers, platforms, configurations and vendor neutral technologies.
  • Preparing, contributing or documenting CUAS operations, maintenance actions, system status, technical reports, incident documentation and after-action reports.
