CTO Co-Founder | AI Healthcare Payments Startup
About The Position
Heartline Staffing is recruiting a hands-on CTO Co-Founder for an early-stage healthcare AI startup opportunity in New York, New York. This role involves leading technology, product architecture, and engineering execution from concept through production, building and launching an AI-enabled healthcare payments platform from the ground up. The position requires designing secure, scalable systems for healthcare payment, claims, and revenue cycle workflows, recruiting and leading the early engineering team, and working directly with founders, investors, advisors, and early customers. The goal is to move quickly from MVP to a scalable commercial product.
Requirements
- Built and launched a software product from concept/MVP to production
- Strong hands-on coding background
- Experience designing scalable, secure software systems
- Experience building AI-powered products, automation platforms, or intelligent workflow systems
- Understanding of claims, payments, reimbursement workflows, financial operations, or other transaction-heavy regulated environments
- Experience hiring, building, and leading engineering teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Ability to work onsite in New York City
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

Responsibilities
- Lead technology, product architecture, and engineering execution from concept through production
- Build and launch an AI-enabled healthcare payments platform from the ground up
- Design secure, scalable systems for healthcare payment, claims, and revenue cycle workflows
- Recruit and lead the early engineering team
- Work directly with founders, investors, advisors, and early customers
- Move quickly from MVP to scalable commercial product
- Own the technology vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap
- Personally contribute to hands-on product development and technical execution
- Build AI-enabled workflow automation into the product from the beginning
- Lead integrations with healthcare, billing, claims, payment, and data systems
- Evaluate and select the technical stack
- Design secure infrastructure for regulated, data-heavy workflows
- Partner with executive leadership to turn a validated thesis into a scalable commercial product
