About The Position

Amentum is seeking system engineering professionals with related education and/or experience to support systems and software development in support of the Navy and Marine Corps at Dahlgren, VA. You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel. The degree of telecommuting availability varies with each position and customer. Individual will support multiple USMC weapons systems by working in an Agile environment to identify/develop/validate/test systems requirements, support integration events, and provide consultation to USMC customers and sponsors upon request. Schedule is predominantly a standard workday but at times flexibility may be required to support a surge effort or event. Some travel may be required. This position is in support of the USMC Composite Tracking Network (CTN) & and Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S) projects and requires the ability to support testing and engineering of the system. Individual will work with government customer to act as subject matter expert in meetings, perform requirements tracing, conduct test events, and set up hardware/software/equipment for CTN, CAC2S, and peripheral systems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Systems Testing, IV&V experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to perform analysis and problem-solving techniques in support of professional scientific/engineering work
  • Ability to work independently and with others within established teams, across organizations, to meet established goals within schedule driven timelines

  • Experience with USMC, CTN, CAC2S
