The CTE Technology Teacher (Aerospace-Engineering) develops students' academic skills through academic courses of study and implements, monitors, and evaluates a quality competency-based program implementing district approved curriculum; documents teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addresses specific educational needs of students; provides feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. This is a 10-month, 195 day Licensed Teacher position, which may include teaching classes associated with Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc. The Aerospace/Engineering Teacher designs and delivers rigorous, hands-on instruction in aviation, space science, and engineering within Alexandria City Public Schools' Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. This position prepares students for technical careers and postsecondary success by integrating project-based learning, industry partnerships, and recognized certifications into a dynamic classroom and laboratory environment.
