About The Position

Sheridan Community Hospital is seeking a PRN CT / X-Ray Technologist (ARRT) to join our Radiology team. This role supports a variety of imaging services, including CT scans, general radiography, and surgical imaging, helping ensure timely and accurate diagnostic care. This is a great opportunity for an experienced technologist or a new graduate interested in expanding into CT in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Sheridan Community Hospital is a critical access hospital committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care close to home. Our Radiology team plays a key role in supporting patient diagnosis and treatment across Sheridan, Montcalm County, and surrounding communities.

Requirements

  • ARRT registered or registry-eligible required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Ability to meet health and drug screening requirements for healthcare staff

Nice To Haves

  • CT experience preferred but not required; training available
  • Basic computer and EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans and general diagnostic X-ray procedures
  • Assist with surgical imaging, including C-Arm procedures
  • Prepare and position patients while explaining imaging procedures clearly
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging exams
  • Recognize patient conditions requiring attention during procedures
  • Maintain quality control standards for imaging equipment
  • Accurately complete documentation and imaging records in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Ensure timely availability of imaging studies for physician interpretation
  • Follow all regulatory, safety, and infection control guidelines
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department training
  • Work independently while collaborating with the care team to support patient flow
