About The Position
Cary Medical Center is seeking a skilled CT/X-Ray Technologist to join their team. This role involves performing Computed Tomography procedures for inpatients and outpatients, with a focus on high-quality outcomes, patient safety, and exceptional customer service. Requirements
- State of Maine Radiologic Technology License
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
- CPR Certification
Responsibilities
- Completes computed tomography (CT) procedures following departmental protocols
- Confidently explains CT procedures to patients
- Accurately and consistently completes required CT paperwork
- Assists the Front Office staff in insuring orders for CT procedures are appropriate
- Maintains current standards of practice through review of current literature, including information on best practice
- Completes IV starts and IV management following hospital protocol for contrast material administration
- Administers appropriate contrast material required to complete CT procedures
- Confidently explains possible IV problems and possible contrast material reactions to patients
- Completes assigned CT duties efficiently and effectively
