The CT Technologist is accountable for positioning and immobilization of patients and proper selection of technical factors along with computer reformatting of acquired data to obtain magnetic resonance scans and/or computer tomography procedures of optimal quality. This role involves performing post-processing of computer data, operating support equipment, transferring patients, and preparing them for examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions. The technologist also initiates IVs for contrast media administration and secures pertinent patient history to aid in examination interpretation. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining safety standards, documenting patient statistics and records, and staying updated on advancements in CT technology. The role also emphasizes maintaining good relations with internal and external customers.
