Full-Time CT Technologist

About The Position

The CT Technologist performs and assists with high-quality diagnostic CT and X-ray procedures, with a focus on patient care and education. The position is located in Prosper, Texas, and works Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No weekends or on-call work is required. The facility is closed on major holidays, with holiday pay provided.

Requirements

CT certified or board-eligible.
ARRT certification.
Texas Medical Board credentialing or requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality diagnostic CT imaging.
Establish rapport with patients and others to understand and meet service requirements.
Maintain radiology equipment, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, arrange repairs, maintain equipment inventories, and evaluate equipment and techniques.
Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements and advise management of needed actions.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, professional networks, and professional societies.
Reduce patient anxiety by explaining treatments and answering questions.
Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, positioning equipment, and setting exposure factors.
Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff through radiation-protection techniques, beam-restrictive devices, shielding, and appropriate exposure factors.
Follow infection-control policies and protocols, drug-reaction protocols, first-aid procedures, and emergency-cart procedures.
Maintain radiograph production and quality by following standards and procedures, developing radiographs, observing results, and making necessary adjustments.
Document patient-care services in patient and department records.
Contribute to the team by completing related duties as needed.
