About The Position
The CT Technologist performs duties directly involved with producing images to detect pathology. Operates equipment safely, maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, the medical staff, and patients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certificate
- FL State Technologist License
- ARRT with CT Certification (6 months to obtain from hire date)
- BLS approved by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Applies knowledge and skills necessary to perform all functions of the job including technical competence in the field.
- Demonstrates self motivation in performing job duties.
- Follows department policy, and procedures to perform all job functions.
- Explains procedures to patients and family, and demonstrates sensitivity with respect to the family and/or significant other as an individual family unit.
- Provide for privacy of the patients
- Operates all equipment in a safe and effective manner according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Serves as a resource person and assists in the orientation of new associates regarding compliance with imaging specific policies and procedures.
- Adheres to the Radiology compliance of the JCAHO, MQSA, NRC, and other mandated clinical certifying agencies standards
Benefits
- Up to $20,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.
