About The Position

Rush Specialty Hospital, a partnership between Select Medical and RUSH, is a 100-bed facility that combines a critical illness recovery hospital and an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. Our team is committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery as well as exceptional rehabilitation services to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Requirements

At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating facility-specific equipment desirable.

Responsibilities

Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.
