About The Position

Operates CT equipment to produce scans (x-rays) for diagnostic and invasive procedures in the CT suite and provides quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Communicates patient needs and responses through appropriate verbal and written correspondence, and ensures documentation is complete and accurate for all aspects of patient care. Operates imaging and specialty equipment properly, keeps abreast of medical device uses, and takes precautions to minimize patient and staff exposure to x-radiation. Assumes responsibility for and provides direct care for procedures performed in the area. Ensures patients are prepared for procedures, provides care during procedures, and assists with patient and family education. May support or assist in research and related activities as required.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
At a minimum, registered with the ARRT.
CPR certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
