About The Position

Akumin is hiring a full-time CT Technologist at its Raleigh, North Carolina facility. The role is responsible for patient safety and performing high-quality CT studies, as well as communicating effectively with customers and radiologists as needed. In some instances, the technologist trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators. The position includes screening patients for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections, using aseptic injection techniques, producing diagnostic images, and troubleshooting the scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment such as monitors and PACS.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Registered Computed Tomography Technologist through ARRT; where permitted by the state, NMTCB certification in Computed Tomography is acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
State license.
Medical Imaging license, if applicable.
CPR certification.
Active state driver's license for technologists performing mid-day moves.
Strong customer service skills.
Organizational and multitasking skills.
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities
