Under the direction of the CT Team Leader, performs a variety of CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing. Selects proper protocol and technical factors, positioning devices and study specific equipment 100% of the time. Produces computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation. Provides protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards to ensure the well being of patients, hospital personnel, general public and self while performing any duties 100% of the time. Identifies and archives patient’s images. Maintains records of exams. Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time. Documents all related data. Maintains appropriate records of examinations and CT procedure log 100% of the time. Identifies, processes, transfers and archives patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics. Maintains the integrity and security of the radiology information systems 100% of the time.
