About The Position

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is the internal staffing agency for the Johns Hopkins Health System and partner hospitals, providing temporary support to various Johns Hopkins locations. This role is for a CT Technologist looking to enjoy the perks of temporary staffing yet feel like a member of a large organization. The position performs a variety of radiological procedures, including computed tomography (CT) and specialized tomographic examinations, while ensuring the accuracy and quality of imaging through the implementation of appropriate quality control measures. The location is Suburban Hospital. The schedule is Friday 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM; Saturday 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; and Sunday 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM. Requirements

  • Minimum of High school or GED equivalent required.
  • Work requires completion of an AMA approved program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent which is required in a two year college or technical school program.
  • ARRT certified with current registration required.
  • BLS CPR certification required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a CT Technologist is required.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently selects and performs appropriate CT protocol based on patient’s clinical presentation according to established guidelines.
  • Selects reviews and adjusts appropriate technical factors to produce optimal CT images based on patient’s age and physical condition.
  • Routinely positions patients properly on CT table. Removes all preventable artifacts that may interfere with image quality.
  • Consistently completes the full exam- all appropriate paperwork, post-processing and archiving.
  • Consistently verifies accurate and complete patient identifiers, procedure and other pertinent information.
  • Consistently demonstrates appropriate knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy.
  • Demonstrates a good technical knowledge to fully understand and operate the CT scanners and accessory equipment.
  • Maintains and cleans all CT equipment to established guidelines.
  • Actively keeps work area clean and orderly.
